B&B Jyou-Kura
Our B＆B 'Jyou-Kura' opened by renovating an old warehouse of Takadaya Kahei who is a famous pioneer enterprise at early Hakodate in Edo-era. The original warehouse structure had to be demolished, but great effort was made to save original posts, beams and the massive daikokubashira“, the main support post. Kura means warehouse where valuable and important things are placed for safe keeping. The meaning has been extended to include a place where important persons, such as our guests, are well looked after.
